Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Circuit by TechShorts (circuit.techshorts.io) is a directory of B2B tech events, operated by IntelliFunnel Labs ("we", "us") as part of TechShorts. It lists conferences, vendor days and roundtables and links to each organizer. This policy explains what personal information Circuit collects, why, who processes it for us, and the choices you have. For any question or request, email privacy@techshorts.io.

Circuit has no accounts and no sign-in. You can browse everything without giving us any personal information. The news site at techshorts.io has its own Privacy Policy.

2. What we collect

  • Event reminders. If you ask for a reminder, your email address, the event you chose, the time you agreed to receive reminders, and when each reminder was sent. We send one email about a week before the event and one the day before. Each email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Organizer submissions. If you list an event, the details you enter: the event name, organizer, official page, dates, city, country, format and any notes, plus your contact email, the time you agreed we may contact you, and the status of our review.
  • Register clicks. When you press a Register button, we add one to a count for that event, with the time. The count is not linked to you: we do not store your name, email address or IP address with it. You are then sent to the organizer's own website, where the organizer's privacy policy applies.
  • Your place. To suggest events near you, a cookie holds your country code (see section 5). It is not set for visitors in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland. If you choose a city yourself, we remember that choice in a cookie.
  • Technical logs. Our hosting provider records standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and running.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts or cross-site tracking on Circuit.

3. How we use it

  • To send the reminders you asked for, and nothing else, to the address you gave.
  • To review the events you submit, check them against the organizer's own site, and contact you if we need more.
  • To see which events people open, using the click counts, so we can improve the directory.
  • To suggest a region or city near you.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

4. Who processes it for us

We use service providers to run Circuit. They process personal information on our behalf to provide these services:

  • Supabase for our database, where reminders, submissions and click counts are stored.
  • Vercel for hosting.
  • Resend for delivering reminder emails.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Cookies

Circuit sets two small cookies and nothing else. Neither identifies you.

  • circuit_country (cookie, 30 days): your country code, read from your request, used to put your region first and suggest a nearby city. Not set in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, or when your country is unknown.
  • circuit_near (cookie, one year): the city you chose in the "Near" menu, so we can show it next time. Set only when you choose a city. You can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

6. Your choices and rights

Email privacy@techshorts.io to ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. To stop reminders, use the unsubscribe link in any reminder email, or email unsubscribe@techshorts.io. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, these are rights the law gives you. You may also object to or restrict our processing where the law allows, and complain to your local data protection authority. We do not treat you differently for using these rights, and we will respond within the time the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

We keep reminder and submission records for as long as we need them for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you and keep a note that you did, so that we do not email you again; ask us if you want that note deleted too. Click counts contain no personal information.

8. Security

We serve Circuit over HTTPS and limit access to personal information to the people and services that need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries.

10. Children

Circuit is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is material, we will say so on this page.
